Wrinkles makes people worrying because they shows that they are moving towards aging. Generally the skin looses its elasticity as aging continues. There are different types of wrinkles like skin wrinkles, belly wrinkles, face wrinkles, lip wrinkles etc. But one thing is common in these wrinkles that it make us feel uncomfortable and gives complex feeling.
Skin envelops all our body and protects us from exposure of sun, invasion of micro-organisms. Certain elastin fibers and a protein called collagen keep our skin free from wrinkles.
We have to take special care of our skin while we are young. There are a number of home remedies to prevent wrinkles as it is said that “prevention is better than cure”.
To avoid wrinkles, first we have to understand our skin type. Usually there are four different types of skin. They are dry skin, normal skin, combinational skin and oily skin. How can we recognize our skin type? In the morning when you get up, wipe your face with the help of a tissue paper. If your skin type is oily you find oil on tissue paper. If your skin is normal it will appear normal, if your skin is combinational type, you can find oil only in the center and if your skin is dry type you can find flakes on it. The most problematic types are oily and dry skins. Oily skin gives birth to acne and blackheads whereas dry skin causes wrinkles because of lack of moisture and nourishment.
There are many ways to avoid wrinkles, and let’s see each one of them individually:
Healthy Food:
1. Cereals and whole grains like wheat, corn etc, consists of rich source of Vitamin B which helps our skin to absorb the nutrients required by the skin.
2. Take carotene-rich foods like papaya, carrots etc, which have plenty of Vitamin A which gives skin a younger look.
3. Eat Vitamin C enriched food like oranges, grapes etc. which produces collagen in our skin.
4. Protein rich pulses help skin to glow.
5. Water plays an important role to prevent from many harmful effects. So one must drink at least 2-3 liters of water every day.
Healthy Habits:
1. Try to avoid excessive intake of alcohol because it stimulates the wrinkle formation. Alcohol retains water in the body which makes the face swollen that temporarily stretches the skin. As a result shrinking of the face turns into wrinkles.
2. Smoking causes wrinkles around the mouth. Smoking reduces blood circulation to facial skin which results in premature lines and wrinkles. So terminate smoking.
3. Whenever you are going outside during day time always wear a cap or apply sun-screens, as it useful in preventing the ultraviolet rays of the sun which damags the skin.
